The Biography Of Trey Gandy Trey Gandy was born in Blytheville Arkansas, he began singing at the age of 4 performing solos in the family choir. In 1989, his family moved to Detroit, Michigan headed for Motown in big hopes that Trey would be discovered. His mother carefully sought out talent shows for him to enter and registered him in the "Apollo Live of Michigan" in June 1990. After several auditions, Trey was chosen to perform on the first show-a big event for scouters and labels. He sang " Tommorrow written by Quincy Jones for Tevin Campell and won 1st place. He competed again on a second show and also won 1st place. A few months later, Trey Gandy recieved a call from Len Horan Offering to be his Manager. After a few discusssions, he was performing on events and shows and auditioning for movies like Sister Act gaining great exposures and experience. While working on outside events, Trey Gandy was also the star lead singer for his school's "Catherine C Blackwell" Allround Rockin' Gospel Choir which his vocal talent and Gifts was also discovered by the Choir awesome husband and wife directors team Joseph & Patricia Hines getting additional exspose as well. One special day, Trey Gandy recieved an invitation from Mcdonalds Corporation to audition for a commercial shoot. He sung an original titled "Dream Girl". The Judges Loved it, and he won the spot. The commercial aired on the readio and tv throughout the michigan cities. he became swamped with calls and invitations to events from producers and managers. Soon thereafter, Trey Gandy was meeting with various record label's and chose AEM Records. He recorded his 1st single a few months later called "Crazy Bout You Love" a pop/alternative song produced and written by (EJ) Emmuael Johnson from the famous group EnChantment. Paul "PDA" Allen of PaJam engineered a few of Trey Gandy's recording Sessions at Van Guard Studios. Publicity was at an all time high and the single was a hit. He also recorded the song "Got A Little Dog In Me" featuring George Clinton from the Parliment Phunkadelics. In 1994, Tramaine was honored at a city Counsil program where he recieved a key to the city award for "Best Local Artist of 93-94". He sung the National Anthem at 7 NBA games with the Detroit Pistons and Participated in the "Shape Up Michigan" 5 city tour performing and promoting his new single "Crazy Bout Your Love". The tour, sponsored by Isiah Thomas (former Detroit Piston), also openend doors for him to perform with artists like Stevie Wonder. Trey Gandy attended the School of the Fine Performing Arts and was a 1st tenor vocal major. a few of his classmates were Aaliyah", Mercedes, and Shundra(Delicious) and have all become famous in their Music Careers. Currently, Trey Gandy lives in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area now where he is Co-owner of The Music label "The G.r.e.a.t Music Group which means God Really Elevates All Talents", an Indie Label. He is working on several projects, producing and vocal developing new upcoming artist such as J Morgan, Geno, and more. Last but not least on July 11th,2009 Trey Gandy Released his own Traditonal,Contemporary,Quartet,Country All in one Gospel Cd Out in Stores, Titled "Restoration (Chapter1) releasing the album Trey Gandy continues to Promotes and Performs like never before.Also he serves as the Minister of Music at a local Church in the Dallas suburbs where he utilizes the setting as a stage to introduce his music.
